Music with Tots

Music with Tots is a fun, theme-based Mandarin immersion class designed for children under 3 and their caregivers. Through Mandarin songs, movement activities, music play, and simple art projects, children are introduced to early Mandarin vocabulary in a joyful and engaging environment.

Each class includes singing, rhythm and movement time, and topic-based learning that supports language development, motor skills, and sensory exploration. This interactive class encourages parent-child bonding while helping little ones build confidence and curiosity through music and play.

Candice is an experienced early childhood educator who previously served as a preschool lead teacher at a play-based, Mandarin-immersion school in Manhattan. She has also led “Music with Tots” classes that combine music, movement, and language learning, and is passionate about creating joyful environments where children naturally develop Mandarin through songs and interaction.

Coffee Appreciation & Brewing Workshop

Instructor: Charlene

This six-session workshop is designed for beginners and coffee enthusiasts who want to better understand coffee and brewing techniques. Participants will learn about coffee-growing regions, bean varieties, roasting levels, grinding methods, and how to choose quality coffee. The course also introduces a variety of brewing methods, including drip coffee, French press, Turkish coffee, siphon, moka pot, Vietnamese coffee, cold drip, and espresso. Through demonstrations and hands-on practice, students will gain the skills to brew great coffee at home.

Adult Mandarin Classes

Led by professional Mandarin instructors, this course covers basic vocabulary, conversational practice, reading short texts, and writing exercises, enriched with cultural insights to make lessons practical. This program is ideal for beginners and adults seeking structured and comprehensive learning.

Jasmine Liu is a Mandarin instructor at Tzu Chi Academy Long Island and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education at Hofstra University, focusing on Chinese language education. She has completed multiple professional training programs through Taiwan’s Overseas Community Affairs Council and is passionate about promoting Chinese language and culture through engaging learning experiences.

Yoga Classes

This yoga program offers both Root Hatha and Flow Vinyasa styles to support a range of needs and experience levels. Root Hatha is a slow-paced practice focused on grounding, stability, and body awareness through mindful breath and intentional movement. Flow Vinyasa is a faster-paced, breath-centered flow that builds strength, mobility, and mental clarity. Together, these classes provide a balanced approach to strengthening both body and mind.

Her teaching style is accessible, supportive, and focused on helping students build strength, confidence, and connection through movement and breath.
